That is why you reset the ECM; to let it relearn. It is true that the tC's run on the leaner side, but that is only going to be a problem if you are shooting too much juice. The ECM is very smart and will keep you from blowing up your ride. At the same time, it will give you as much performance that it can safely and reliably.
