Idiaz28, you are absolutley correct about the balls the 2AZ-FE has. Kenny Tran told me that he prefered the Scion over his Hondas. The Hondas made gobs of power but burn themselves up. The 2AZ-FE can easily handle 300WHP on a stock block, no prob. Unfortunately, there are alot of blown motors out there from boost happy turbo owners who crank the boost past their maps capabilities. Others are from crappy kits, poor installs, and bad tuning.
bwood87, you are absolutely correct about the S/C over the turbo. In the long run, the S/C will out live the turbo. Now, I know there are exceptions with some turbos having no probs and S/C's shooting gears thru the hood, but those are not the norms.
In the end, it all comes down to personal preference. Either one is fine. Heck, if Kenny can get Tony (the master salesman) to break me down, I will be sporting a 900WHP+ tC drag car. Rest assure Club-tC members, Project tC will ALWAYS be S/C!!!!!!
