BPV is bypass valve. A valve made by AEM. I dont kno how exactly it works but when the air filter on the intake is submerged with water, the BPV inducts air through itself. Which basically cancels the chance of hydrolocking with a CAI.(cold air intake) . Which is what most people fear, though i run a weapon-r short ram With a Ram air setup that sticks right out my intake vent. ACtually gives me a noticeable gain. Yet i still have it during rain. ANd no problems, though im not saying im safe.
