I take it that your question is more specifically what can you expect for a trade in. Scion utilizes a pure price policy. That is, what you see on the sticker is the only price that you will get (plus/minus options) at any dealership from any salesman. Scion does not have special buyer's programs nor are the dealerships allowed to. Dealers also are not going to give you much for a 2008 3 months off the lot. You know how quickly cars devaluated once they are off the lot.
To sum it up, there is no room to baragain in your situation. Your only course of action is to sell outright the Ford. As a future tC owner (great optimism), you have to learn how to spell it.

Since we are a culture of expression with a common bond, the Scion car names are lowercase then uppercase; xA, xB, xD, tC. There is no xC because another car company already trademarked that name.
Stay away from the Spec pacakge. It is meant for people who will be converting the tC to a show/race car. For a daily street car, there is too much changed/removed for the savings, plus there is no sunroof. The RS package is a great upgrade costing about $1000 or so more. The 2008 RS model has not been released as of yet.
Best of luck and welcome aboard to Club-tC.
