Advice on Handling for a tC.
I had to trade in my 02 WRX that I've worked on for 3 years, to get something more economical.
Though I'm not a big fan of power, I am a huge fan of handling. Auto-X and sanctioned track and touge is a large part of me.
I imagine, the biggest thing I will miss from my WRX, is an increased redline, AWD, and the LSD's.
Aside from I/H/E and the LW Pulleys, all my modifications are aimed for handling purposes.
I've never had experience with the tC in the handling department, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I was thinking of tower strut bars to stiffen the car up, and a larger rear sway bar with upgraded end-links to reduce the natural understeer of FF cars. On top of a front LSD to provide optimal power distribution, my largest inquiry would be in the stock strut set up.
Would a fully adjustable coilover set up be necessary for this process? If I need to purchase a camber kit, and other adjustables in order to maintain positive alignment, I figure the investment in a fully adjustable coilover kit would be worthwhile.
While power is mildly a concern, handling and cornering is everything to me.
Oh, and are the stock dimensions of the tC wheels 17x7.5? or 17x8? Or dreadfully 17x7?
I'm coming from 17x8's from AWD on Yokohama ADVAN AO46 235/40's, so I have a feeling I'm in for a very rude awakening.
Thanks for everything in advance.
