With the turbonetics turbo, not much.
Many turbos on various other 4 banger applications can run ~20 pounds of boost and still do fine with an internally housed wastegate.
Outside of that, without running a bigger turbo, an external wastegate wont be a "bang for the buck" modification at all.
You're boosted, so you should really pay attention to the BC Camshafts that they're coming out with soon. Navy posted a link on the performance forum. Apparently they're being designed for turbo applications.
272/272 Cam profile on a boosted tC would make VVT-I VERY interesting. Not to mention an extended redline.
