im assuming you had a shop install it for you then? there are 2 ways to get a remote start to work with the car:
1. voltage check (the remote start checks the voltage coming from the battery and will only crank for a specified period of time[adjustable] and then will stop cranking. if the car doesnt start it tries again until it does(up to i think 5 tries) then it shuts down)
2. tach check (the remote start cranks the starter until the tach reaches enough rpm that the car is running (i think its about 150rpm but i could be wrong on that) and if it doesnt start within 6 seconds it stop and retries a second time)
most shops are going for speed, not necessarily perfection, so they use voltage check. it keeps them from having to run another wire under the hood and just take 15 seconds to program the unit to voltage instead. If you are setup for voltage, the programming can be changed to crank for longer(sounds like what your problem may be). default time is 0.6 seconds. it can be increased to 2 seconds(although i dont recommend that)
It sounds like your programming needs to be changed to 1.0 seconds and your problem should be solved.
