New tC Purchase... What to look for? HELP.
Hey guys,
I have just put a downpayment on a 2007 Scion Tc, 5spd with 21 xxx miles. The car is completely stock and accident free. I have used car fax and the car is worthy of buying, I was just wanting to find out some things to look for before i follow through with my decision to get the car...
1) Inside and out the car is clean and has never been in an accident
2) The engine sounds louder than a normal engine (comparing it to a 1990 Miata 1.6L Engine), is this cause of the timing chain?
3) What is the pressure supposed to be in each cylinder?
4) Car is rust free, getting my mechanic to check out the drivetrain and the suspension (bushings, alignment... etc)
5) New brakes pad will be put on and car comes certified
6) Anything else i should look for?
The car runs and drives beautiful and i think its going to be fine when my mechanic looks at it, i just need some numbers to compare the compression test and what other things i should have the mechanic look at? I rather pay him 50$ and let me know and if things are looking shady take it to toyota and get them to fix whatever may be the problem cause it will be under warrenty
Any suggestions and opinions/ past experiences with purchasing a tC are welcomed,
Thanks guys
I will let you know is i will be a new scion member in 1 week.
Cheers,
