I have the D1 in my car, and at first i was gonna install it myslef, but once i dug into it more i realized it was a bit more complicated than an ordinary head unit install. it has to be wired to your parking brake as well as your speed sensor and a few other things. I decided to just pay to have it installed, and im glad i did. You should be able to find a reputable audio shop in your area that will istall it for less than 100 bucks... its worth it.
i went to a place called Sound Advice, and it cost me 90 bucks for the install... then the rest of my system i installed myself.
