now it's probably too late, but i told one of my boys i did this and he thought it was a terrible idea. i tried to explain to him that several of us on this forum had done this with no problems. he says the "science" behind the intake suggests that with modifying the box (taking out the pipe especially) changes the way the air flows to the filter. with a short ram, there is no box, just the filter. he suggests a loss in hp? he couldn't really explain beyond that and i feel no loss in hp - it's definitely a little quicker and louder! should i just tell him to shut up?
