There are guys out there offering LED swaps for the mirrors. There is also how-to's on SL. It is not too difficult. I would like to see a complete assembly swap that incorporates a spot beam for cornering. That area is so dark.
PIAA makes a
7440 wedge base bulb that they call mirror orange. It is legal and looks sharp. Bulb looks almost clear when not illuminated, yet gives a very bright nearly orange light.
