Test drove new GTI

my friend works at a local vw dealer and called me up to test drive the new gti that just came in...so i went after work and saw 3 of them on the lot

i drove the "Tornado Red" one with the plaid interior had the DSG tranny in it... i wanted to try the 6 speed but it was sold

SHIZAM..... WHATTA CAR!!!

I can't say enough good about the DSG... it just brings the personality of this car to life... it was awesome. Tapping thru the gears with full throttle action is so freakin' buttery smooth... you will be impressed.

There is only one MAJOR problem in my opinion. If you don't watch the speedo.. you are going to spend a lot of time on the sidelines with "Officer Law" if you know what I mean. This car is lightning quick on the straightaways... eats up curves like nothing and it's a blast!!!


As for the GTI itself... this is truly a vehicle that once someone drives it.... they'll get it. i def would trade my tc for it what u think??

Do yourself a favor.... get behind the wheel and go for a test drive. This is the most fun I've had behind the wheel of a vehicle in a long time.

This was gonna be my alternate car besides the Tc, but even tho its a great car and everything.. its German, you better hope nothing bad happends to it because costs will run high. Aftermarket parts for performance is another story. I've always been told, Always go Japanese, you can do anything, and wont cost as much. But if you like the GTI as you say. Go for it. Enjoy. =)
