Exclamation Scion Marketing Looses It's Coolness, Steps Back To The Stone Age

Well, apparently Scion Marketing Execs have gone counter-culture to a sanity that has taken over half a century to be accepted. Have they totally lost their minds? This is so against the true Scion Culture. Why did they sell themselves out to an archaic ruse portrayed on countless millions of Americans. How could they believe that this new generation is a bunch of dopes; that would fall for such arrogant BS.

I guess they haven't kept up with the times and logged into theTruth.com for lately. Below is the e-mail that I sent to Scion Marketing.

I find it very counter-culture for Scion to embrace tobacco use amongst it's owners by promoting 5 additional tobacco use related aftermarket products beyond that of the plain optional ashtray. I applauded Scion for producing it's vehicles with no built in ashtray and calling the cigar lighter plug a power point. Why the change of heart? Is Scion Marketing trying to bring back the idiosyncratic ruse that smoking is cool, hip? Will the out-of-date glovebox be replaced by a humidor for the cigar smoking gangstas next?

This is certainly not what I want glamorized to my Son who owns a tC and my Daughter who will be driving next year. Please consider your actions and how it influences our next generation.

Well, I smoke. But I do agree with you.

I smoke the cigs from time to time. I don't care that it doesn't come with an ashtray. My cigarette lighter has a cig. embelm on it (if I recall).

Although, I didn't think Scion Marketing would have the bawls to advertise with ANY kind of tabacco related product.

[gangsta]Mad props to them fo havin bawls to diversify da advertisin dollas to try and get all us young peeps.[/gangsta]

Not to be up on a soap box here about tobacco; ya'll are big boys and realize it for yourselves. My statement was about Scion's reversal from not marketing their products with tobacco related aspects. It was a bold step back in 2003 stray away from the typical lure of "your car is your personal smoking palace" mentality that has been a fixture in automobiles for over a century. It worked so why the sudden reversal? I would much prefer more go-fast goodies in the accessory catalog.
