    Question passenger window problems...

after i installed my AEM cold air intake system, i noticed my passenger window button does not work in controlling the window. and the driver side control of it doesn't work either. could i have installed the ground wires incorrectly or messed up the fuses? (the installation included removing the fuse box cover to get at the intake and also removing and reinstalling the ground wire above the driver's side wheel well. any help whatsoever would be greatly appreciated!

Remove the negative terminal on your battery. Leave it off for about 15-20 minutes. Put it back on the post and tighten it down. Turn the key to "on", DO NOT start the car. Reach over and hold the button down (it should be going down by this time). Once it is down, roll it back up and hold the button for a few seconds after it is all the way up. You should also do the same for the sunroof. If it works, turn the key to off and then you can start it. Let me know if this doesn't work.

Not necessarily. When I was trying to install a Weapon-R intake that didn't fit, I had to take the terminal off the battery and the same thing happened to me. They tell you in the instructions how to do the windows after the ECU has been reset.

Post up a pic of your install. Show your baby off.

Yep, anytime the battery is disconnect, you have to reset the window control module. This includes the sunroof. What you are doing is setting the jam protection sensitivity. Being that each window may have different friction coefficients, effective jam protection can only be assured with individual settings. This is due to the age of components, clean/dirty window tracks, and window tint. Without the ECU having the correct value to determine a true jam, any errant appendage may just get lopped off. Jeep Grand Cherokees from the late 80's/early 90's were notorious for this and even killed a few kids. Scion publications state that the window should be in the middle then the window control be held in the up position for 1 sec after the window stops in the closed position. Same for the sunroof.
