My honest opinion is that it's stupid. I have better things to do with my life.

Did it when i was younger, did it a couple times in college, haven't touched it for about 3-4 years now. Meeting the one and getting married has a way of making you stop things like that (if she is against it) lol.

But what others do is their business. I'm friends with a couple guys who smoke (well, one hasn't in a while because he doesn't have enough money).

Eh, i just want to make sure if i make a joke referring to it i don't piss off people. I was at a bar once, and i made a joke about it and these two morons came up to me and were trying to make me leave, i get that people don't like it but i don't get when they get upset over it. Just wanted to get a feel from this forum, thanks guyz.

Lucky dog either way! Thought I'd share this story with you guys, posted by a member of the Camaro forum that I frequent:
I'm sure Toyoter would make their new sports coupe part of the Toyota brand. But speaking of tC's anyway...

A friend of mine got stuck tonight on a hill. It has been snowing for the past two days, so the back roads here are pretty much a sheet of ice. However, Kincaid decided to go up a pretty steep hill anyway in his tC, which would prove not to be a very smart decision. He got about 3/4 up the hill and then started spinning and couldn't go any further. He tried to make a u-turn, but then he slid (almost into the ditch) down the hill sideways until the brakes finally took hold once he hit dirt. So the situation was: He was around 1-2 foot from his sideways car dropping into a 4-5 foot ditch. He called me and my brother to help he find a way for him to get back on the road without him falling into that ditch. So when me and my brother got there, we tried to get up the hill ourselves. Now keep in mind this is a 4WD Duramax that was spinning absolutely insanely trying to go up this hill. As my brother was sitting there spinning on this basic ice path, we realized that when we pulled Kincaid's car out, it was just going to slide and hit his vehicle. So we rushed home to get our four-wheeler, by this time Kincaid's dad and his brother got to the hill. So when we got there with the 4wheeler, we were going to use it to pull out his tC, and since it was most likely going to start sliding down the hill (and most likely again sideways) jeffrey was going to hit the ditch with the 4wheeler. Then kincaid's dad thought before we tried to pull out the car, we may could (since there was like 5 guys there, the other one was a random guy who stopped at the top of the hill and saw the tC almost in a ditch, sideways on the road. So this redneck mofo came down and gave his two cents on the situation) just keep the car out of the ditch by pure man power while he tries to straighten up the car so his left front and back wheel will reach the dirt, thereby giving him much needed traction to make it down the hill without sliding down there sideways like a rocket. And that is exactly what we did lol. The funniest part was that, the FWD Toyota could make up a hill (quite easily from what Kincaid said. He said he was going around 30 MPH until he realized that the hill was frozen over, then he made the mistake of pushing the brakes in reaction to the situation. He lost all the momentum that probably could have got him onto the top of the hill) were three other 4WD pickups were absolutely struggling to do so lol

Basically the V6 may outrun the tC, but the as seen by me tonight, the climbing capabilities of the tC are tremendous rofl

BrokinArrow, good story. The tC is a surefooted fellow. I only had mine on the snow once and was impressed myself and that included black ice.

As for the Camaro/tC race. Are we talking from a dig, 20 roll, 40 roll, etc?
The Camaro does have nearly twice the power of a tC with 304HP and 273lbs TQ, but it is also quite heavier at 3,780lbs for the LS and 3,728lbs for the LT. It is assumed that the Camaro has an LSD. I see the stock Camaro beating the stock manual tC, but not by much especially off the line.

The manual trans Camaros come with an LSD, autos do not. Most of the magazines that reviewed the V6s were able to get up to 60 in 5.9 seconds (where as the stock tC i believe does it in 8 or so? correct me if I'm wrong) And this comparison I believe is a race starting from a stand still. Stock for stock the Camaro will definitely win (as long as the driver doesn't mess up lol). I'm sure a turbo'd tC would be a different story though

I still stand by my assessment of a close race off the line, but as you said, the *****'n Camaro would win in the end. Of course, this all depends is the tC is a stick, the tires are sticky for launching, and the driver launches at the right RPM. Right now, I am making the same power at the flywheel as the V6 Camaro (maybe a bit more) but would still get beat as I am overpowering the OEM clutch and painfully in need of an LSD. See, power ain't always everything.

I want an LSD. One of my friends works at a Toyota dealership and he said I can get it for $350 (just the parts!!) but then I'd have to worry about the labor. Wah. That's too much

Just pulling out the trans is a chore. Taking apart the trans to replace the diff is a whole nother ball of wax. It can be a complicated process for the inexperienced and/or not the correct tools. Suggest that you let a professional handle this job.

How is your Bud getting this for $350? Do you mean the labor is $350? If that is the case, that is cheap. Labor is going to set you way back on this one. Just the cost of the LSD is a minimum of $1100 plus the installation kit which is $132. I seriously doubt that your friend can get all of this well below the Dealer's cost. Manufactured cost is probably $350+. He might be getting you a used one which would need to be inspected. Also, this is only available for manual trans and not auto trans.
