Default aftermarket sub Question

I took out my stock sub and sold it I kept the harness piece that plugs into the head unit. Is there anyway to wire up an aftermarket sub or subs to the stock harness on the head unit?

PAC sells an adaptor. Buy a Metra stereo harness and splice it together. These can be bought at Crutchfield. I had that setup on my stock radio and it worked perfect.

So the harness that hooked up to the stock sub won't work? I was thinking about using the right and left audio wire out of the harness to use on the subs and hook up the amp power wire that is already ran to the trunk. When I took out my stock sub all I did was cut the adapter that plugged into the sub from the wire running the head unit.

All that I can find so far. I would expect that the power lead is not enough to power a typical amplifier. You shoud run a dedicated 8Ga - 4Ga power cable.
