stock rims painted?

This is a discussion on stock rims painted? within the Appearance & Detailing forums, part of the Scion tC category; i was curious how much it usually costs to get the stock rims painted???...

    i was curious how much it usually costs to get the stock rims painted???

    They need to be powder coated. It all depends on the labor for stripping/painting them. The powder doe not cost that much. I would say about $100 each for a high quality job.

    not bad i was thinking about getting some 18's but the stock rims are pretty nice.

    i planned on doin the same thing .. me and my boy were goin to sand them with 400 and 600 grit then buy sum dupli-color graphite and paint mine .. but i decided to buy new ones instead.

    It all depends on what wheels you are looking at purchasing and if you are getting the rims professionally painted or powder coated. You could even get them polished then anodized.

    i needed new tires BADLY from all the chirping and pealing out i do wen switching gears lol .. so i ordered some FALKEN tires and a set of VOLK rims all black with a 1 inch crome lip .. they already come aligned and balanced plus a life-time waranty so i can just take off my stokies and throw these on with gettin an alignment .. also if i was to get a flat i send it back and i get a new tire

    i am running out of tread and i need to know whats good and cheap
    due to the fact that im a broke young adult going to school

    Cheap tire won't last neither will soft compound tires. Their is a wear rating on all tires that you need to look at. Too soft and they dont last long. Too hard and they dont grip well. There has to be a trade off. Try tirerack.com

    Painting rims has everything to do with who is quoting you. A powder coat shop is your best bet. They can get the job done right.
