    Post Removing Dealer Sticker

I was looking at the dealer sticker when i noticed it was crooked. It bothered me and now i want to take it off.

I was thinking of heating it and peeling but don't know if there's a better way?

Heating and peeling is probably your best bet...After you peel it though, I would pour some mineral spirits on a rag and gently rub the excess adhesive off. Don't worry, mineral spirits is not harmful to your finish, i've done it on 4 cars so far (Including my tC) and it has yet to produce any adverse effects...even after 5 years on my Expedition!

The only thing I recommend doing after talking the extra adhesive off with mineral spirits is re-applying a coat of wax to the area because mineral spirits takes the wax off along with the excess adhesive.

Goo-B-Gone works great too. Be sure not to use anything other than soft rubber or soft cloth to remove the decal residue. Even your thumb nail can scratch the clear coat.

I had a similar problem with the Dealer, except that it was the front plate. I told them that I did not want the front bumper cover screwed into for a license plate. They did it anyway. Man I was pissed.

just removed the tC badge on the back of my car with a "decal/sticker remover" from the dollar store. took about 20 minutes to get it all off (since my car is about a couple years old and not garage kept) but it worked great and hasn't bothered the paint at all.

Slowly crossing things off my mod list!
