need info on changing gauge color

ok i have an 08 tc. everything is stock in it, but what i wanna do is change is that amber color thats in the gauges and under the stereo. i wasnt sure if its cheaper and easier to do at home or should i have the dealership do it. i would really appreciate it if someone can point me in the right direction with this.

Dealer won't do it. You have to open up the gauges and the dash paneling, unsolder the original LEDs, resolder new ones, etc. It'll void the warranty on your electrical system.

If you don't give a hoot, there's a site that sells a DIY kit, & he'll also install for a fee. Unfortunately I don't remember the site...

i got the led's and resistors (from oznium.com) for like $30 (i got a few extra in case). just finding someone to do it is the problem cuz im not trying to mess up my gauges!

oznium.com is new to me. the other site is similar to the one i saw but thats not the same. grrrr... i remember seeing it on scionlife.com. oh well... if i remember i'll post it.

i bought white... but no one to install im so sick of the amber i keep the lights dimmed almost completely off

i'd drive a couple hundred miles if someone would do it for me!

i could do it but i don't think you wanna travel all the way down to va to change some bulbs.

yea it's a way better look! definitely adds to the bling on the inside. i dont even remember how bright the gauges can be cuz i can keep them practically off!

you can actualy get a complete guage change with acenter tach conversion

it's not a plug and play you still have to go through the whole sodering thing but you can get some pretty cool guages with a whole rack of different colors. you can see some examples at LEDmod.com. i figure if your going to go through all the trouble of changing the bulbs might as well get a whole new set-up
