Hi. I recently bought a 2008 Scion TC. I have been thinking about doing some small mods to it. I was wondering if anyone knew how to change the shift knob and the emergency brake handle? I was thinking about changing them both from the stock ones that Scion gives you. I am just unsure how to go about removing them. If anyone can tell me how to do it.. I would really appreciate it. |

To upgrade your shift simply grab ahold of it and twist it counter clock-wise. If your going to spend money on a shift knob i'd say wait and buy a shorter shifter rod (not short-throw shifter, the TC's already come stock with a short throw) i bought a shift and it works great but i wish i had just waited and bought both of them together. As for the handbrake i havent really looked into that but hopefully it isnt something thats too difficult to upgrade also

The e-brake just slips straight off. Grab ahlod of the base of the lever and pull it forward towards the shifter, it should come off easily with minimal finagling.
