Hi. I recently bought a 2008 Scion TC. I have been thinking about doing some small mods to it. I was wondering if anyone knew how to change the shift knob and the emergency brake handle? I was thinking about changing them both from the stock ones that Scion gives you. I am just unsure how to go about removing them. If anyone can tell me how to do it.. I would really appreciate it.

To upgrade your shift simply grab ahold of it and twist it counter clock-wise. If your going to spend money on a shift knob i'd say wait and buy a shorter shifter rod (not short-throw shifter, the TC's already come stock with a short throw) i bought a shift and it works great but i wish i had just waited and bought both of them together. As for the handbrake i havent really looked into that but hopefully it isnt something thats too difficult to upgrade also

The e-brake just slips straight off. Grab ahlod of the base of the lever and pull it forward towards the shifter, it should come off easily with minimal finagling.

if you decide to go with a shift knob that is threaded the thread pattern is
    12x1.25
run it hard but run it right.
