Mirror/Chrome turn signal bulbs

So I just put some projector headlights in my girlfriends 06 tC and the lights look good but I want to install some different bulbs for the turn signals. I've been looking around and I've seen the PIAA mirror orange bulbs and then I've seen some generic chrome bulbs around too that are much cheaper. Is it worth it to pony up the extra cash and get the PIAA's? I'm mostly concerned about how its going to look when its installed. What are some reputable shops you guys are using to buy online from? Also I just wanted to say this is a cool site and the articles on how to remove the bumper and the headlights were helpful. Thanks.

I've had bad luck with piaa headlight bulbs, but the smaller accessory bulbs are ok. If I were you I'd start with the cheaper ones 1st. I've seen the cheaper chrome/amber bulbs go for as little as $5 shipped. Can't beat that, even if they blow out after a few months.

I don't think piaas are worth the cash you dish out IMO. Stick with the Polarg bulbs (they make excellent colored bulbs) or hit up ebay or do a google search on chrome plated turn signal bulbs. You'll find a lot.

yea in many cases you'd be better saving our money and spending the big cash (for enigne or suspension for example). but for bulbs you could definitely get away with the ebay specials like Graphite said. if you can get a $5-$10 set - great!

heck, you may even get lucky and get a cheap set that looks good, and lasts and long time!
