silver speedometer case thing...

This is a discussion on silver speedometer case thing... within the Appearance & Detailing forums, part of the Scion tC category; does anyone know where to get a silver speedometer case.? like the peice closest to the steering wheel...if you do ...

    Question silver speedometer case thing...

    does anyone know where to get a silver speedometer case.? like the peice closest to the steering wheel...if you do can yall help me out! im wanting to get one soon!

    I think you are talking about the gauge surround? The plastic molding that extends from and covers the gauges? If so, I am not sure you can buy a silver one...

    I painted mine with a silver Krylon Fusion for Plastic paint. It turned out nicely, no peeling whatsoever and complete coverage everywhere. It was pretty easy too. Just pull the surround and it will easily come out. The only thing you have to watch out for is putting too much paint on in one coat. Many light coats are necessary for a quality job. One heavy coat will turn out looking horrible! So just take it easy when spraying. That's what I did on my gauge surround, engine cover (red), battery holder (red), and other random parts throughout my tC...LOOKS GREAT!!!

    i put the replace mirrors you can buy at walmart and it looks tight and during the day it looks like silverish but i only got a pic of it at night check it

    it where all the car wash stuff is at.. its the replacement mirror its like 6-9 bucks for one its a pretty long sheet but get three one for each whole... only hassle is getting it just right but at the end it comes out looking great
