Default 2006 Release Series 2.0 Stock or Not?

Hey all, Question: I have number 58 of 2600 Release Series 2.0 Tc 2006 and I am thinking about adding a rear spoiler, mud flaps and a few other things. My question is this, will making permanent changes to the Release Series body enhance the cars value or decrease its value? I really like the clean look and color of the RS 2.0 but when I look at the Tc I also have for my wife (hers is loaded with everything) That rear spoiler looks kool! The dealer here in Michigan says that I should leave the RS 2.0 alone, that it would be worth more if I left the body stock but adding engine performance upgrades would be ok. Hmmm, I need for speed but no changes to the body?

    P.S. Zoom, Zoom.

Generally body upgrades do not hurt a car's resale value but it does make it harder to find a buyer who likes the same modifications you do. I for instance am only doing mods that I can change back to stock.

Thanks guys, wasn?t sure the dealer was on the up & up. I'm sure they would have been happy to see some of this green stuff in my pocket but when he said to leave to R.S. alone it sure did surprise me.

This car in my opinion is the Celica GT that never was. Just like my Motorcycle the Yamaha RoadStar is the Harley that never was.

Thanks again and its good to be here!

    ReleaseSeries2.43,

I think it would be great if I found another R.S. 2.0 owner in my area, Get im to pull over and have a cold beer and chat about the goodies we plan on. That would be so cool to have two R.S.'s racing down the same street!
