Damn Mailboxes Jumping In Front Of You!

SO, last night a mailbox jumped out in front of my gf scion and took off her passenger side mirror. Common problem in the US, I know. But common or not, I need to fix it. The only issue is that the screws holding the mirror on are stripped out of the mirror. I figure I can probably find larger threaded screws to temporarily hold it back on, but I'll need to replace them eventually anyway because the color panel was ripped off and M.I.A.. Even if we find the panel I'm positive that it's too fubar to look nice again.

Here's the question- I found some decently priced aftermarket power mirrors on eBay and I was wondering if anybody either has them or have heard anything about them?!

also, I went to the favored trdsparks.com and they want 150 for a new SINGLE passenger side mirror... that's a little out of my price range. besides, why not pay a third of that cost for something that will make your scion stand out even more!

Well, there's not really a huge market out there for mirrors. I haven't heard anything on these. My only warning is that you pretty much always get what you pay for. Those are alittle cheap.

I agree...Unfortunately like you said there isn't much of a market :/

The funny thing is I saw those mirrors for sale at that price and also at another price by another company, both appear to have the same picture of quality... id like nothing more than to just pick up a new OEM, but I cant justify spending 150 for the same old mirror. ESPECIALLY cause I'm due to be married in April this year.

UPDATE: I managed to remove the screws from the door and reattach them to the mirror again, so its mounted just fine! but the damn color panel is still missing.... no matter what the car needs new mirror/s in order to look again

The only issue is that it has blue LED's and that's illegal in Florida... I'm waiting to hear back from the seller to find out if I have the option of a more legal color LED.

Don't always believe what you see in pictures. Most of those cheap Chinese companies use the same generic picture for their products.

ah dont fret, the images I'm talking about are of different angles and sides of the same mirror. But its all good, I wouldnt just buy something by its picture... I do have some online shopping experience so far I'm in two different conversations with the sellers about their products... I always research what im looking foward to buying. But thank you for your concern.
