Smoked 08 Tails

I want to smoke my tails. I have an 08 Waveline Pearl and I kinda wanted to see how it would look visually. Has anyone done their tails on an 08 or 09? I don't want them pitch black, just darker.

Do you have photoshop? Use the darken tool on your tails and check it out! I've used photoshop to give my car clear reflectors, black rims, and limo tint. I'll post a pic later this weekend.

Unfortunately, I detest photoshop and refuse to learn it because of stupid, impractical reasons - mainly since I do film photography and film is dying out thanks to digital. I asked one of my friends to do this months ago and he never did, which sucks terribly. If you have time, would you be willing?

Sweet Thank you! Do you want me to post a picture of my tails? I want to see it in contrast to my Waveline Pearl to be honest. I don't want it too terribly dark cos apparently it can cause problems with VA 5-0 buuuut I want them slightly darker. I'm getting my windows tinted at 35% all the way around too.

Yeah, that'd helpful. Get a straight on shot of 'em, and a straight side view. Those'll be the best. You can pm them to me or email me. I'll post the pix so anyone else can see it too.

I found this site. It sells 35% Smoked and 20% Black. Hope this helps. I'll still photoshop your car if you want.

Oh snap! I like it, thank you!! I know this tint shop here in the area and they said they were willing to do a tint overlay to fit the tails when I go in to get my tint done but I wanted to see how it would look. Thank you for sending me the link, I appreciate it. I think I will probably do 35% to match the windows cos I'm doing 35% tint all around.

Make sure the tint is a metalized film if they are using window film. It will hold up better than vinyl film. Either way, don't expect more than a year before they will yellow/fade as they are exposed to the elements, grime, wax, etc. Products from Luminix and Xpel are designed to withstand the elements for many years.

I'll keep it in mind. I'm more than likely not going to do anything with my tails though. I'm too lazy. Or just use Night Shades. I haven't decided yet.
