don't worry about specifics
just get the area clean and then slap it on... make sure to align it properly and straight before you slap it on completely.. the mist of water will allow some freedom of movement and when needed (if you mess up) the ability to yank the overlay off before you really screw up.. cause once it's on there.... it's on there.
