Sorry, it's late and I couldn't resist. Seriously though, if you get a box made or a prefab one, make sure to tie it down using the anchor points for the flat tire. Hatchbacks are a notoriously dangerous place to lay in a heavy box. One hard stop or head-on collision and you might find that box on the dashboard along with your head. Play it safe.

I have a kenwood 9103d mono amp it pushes 1800w max and about 800 rms that i got on discount for best buy for 160...i got a custom box from this place here in tampa too for 2 12' kickers..they fit great and sound great

Another option to think about would be modifying the underdeck cargo box into a sub enclosure. This has been done successfully so much that Scion offers a watered down version in '07 and up models. At the least, you can install you amps there, keeping them hidden and out of the way.
