haven't done it on the factory but have done it on the 4 or 5 after market radios just move the wire from the emergency break to a ground
Put it on a hidden toggle switch so that you can switch the mode back in forth. That will help you in avoiding tickets as some areas have laws on video screens in view of the driver with the vehicle in gear. Back in the early days of video players, which was a migration from RV's, any view screen in view of the driver was illegal. That was why you could only get DIN-E sized, motorized video displays. I used to see police go to the local car shows, specifically checking for this. Heck, they would carry light meters and bust you on tint. The best thing is to know your local and state laws.

hidden toggle switch! that'll show them! trick the cops... I mean, that's a great idea. gonna start a notes page for all the cool ideas i come across. when i get out of broke-town, i gotta remember this stuff!
I have plenty of out-of-the-box ideas. Just give me a scenario and I will come up with a better alternative.

by just removing the wire that goes to your e-brake wont work, there is also a movment sensor in the navigation as well, i havent figured out where that is yet. but all that will do is let you watch movies while not in motion and while the ebrake is down ,atleast in my tc thats whats happenen
hey navylife59, i am having trouble with my subs, can you help?
What's wrong with your subs?
Ditto, what trouble are you having? Are they aftermarket or stock?

problem fixed, bad amp.......dished out 200$ for a new one, time to save up for other mods again
ok does anyone have any ideas for the motion sensor in the dvd player, i have the upgrade from the scion factory, i cant figure out what wire to disconnect or what to do to disable the unit from stop working once the car is in motion. if any of you guys have any ideas for me please let me know
Yeah the vehicle in motion thing really messed me up when I first bought mine. I could never get the nav to work!! I just thought it was the blonde hair. I would like to put a toggle switch in mine, maybe I'll go to Worldwide stereo and see what they can do. If I find out I'll let you know.
