    Default 2008 AUX Question

I bought the cable to hook up my Sansa mp3 player to my car yesterday and the sound quality is really crappy. I already have the volume turned up on the MP3 player and I played with the equalizer on it. Then I modified the bass and treb in the car and I had to turn up the volume to almost 50. I'm kind of SOL unless I get a different MP3 player aren't I? Obviously it has nothing to do with my Tc because when I put a CD in I can't handle listening to anything above 35 or 40. I am also really sensitive to the bass so I have to turn it down to zero and right now under AUX mode it's at 5!

I have a Samsung T9 and it sounds fine when I have the MP3 player's volume all the way up. I tried charging it while playing and that ruined the sound quality. The amp on the sansa might be really weak.

That is probably true. I have the same problem on my '07 Tundra with my E270 Sansa. Not the same problem when I hook it to my Jensen in my car. The line voltage on the aux port maybe set too low in the OEM radio design. A line votage amplifier is what you will need to change that. Of course, a different MP3 player might have more output. I would ask any friends to try theirs on yours. My Son has a Zune and it works fine. He went and bought another IPOD to replace his stolen one. He much better prefers the IPOD interface.
