How much is the oem navi? I bet its close to or beyond $2000 extra. I'd take that money and get a good pioneer/alpine in dash navi with all the bells & whistles installed.

Check out the avic-d3, and the new f model from alpine. It'll be way cheaper INSTALLED than the oem, and as a bonus if you decide to add an aftermarket sub later on it'll be an easier install.

most factory options are ridiculously overpriced compared to other aftermarket options. the navi is definitely one of them. there are plenty of choices better than the scion navi for that price. get urself the pioneer D3 (i think its that one) or something like that. u can get the bluetooth, ipod and sat options included for less that that factory add-on.

The reason i got the OEM nav is because the fitment is perfect. all the aftermarket ones are inside the cover which imo dosn't like good. Also the steering wheel button works w/ the aux and ipod connections. Plus there are so sweet stuff you can do on it...

You can always but the PAC add on to use your steering wheel controls on an aftermarket radio. That's what I'm looking forward to!

What else can you do on the oem navi?

aftermarket is the best way to go the newer h/u play dvds, video from the ipod, and has better sound more wattage easier to add aftermarket amps and speakers

Pioneer Avic-D3. As much as I recommend this product they should be paying me. It is awesome, and you can keep the "waterfall" door with just a little bit of trimming with some pliers. Pioneer is FTW!
    Boost!
