Default Better fog lamps?

Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions on fog lamps? I have the OEM fog lamp grille but I really want the ones that go in the left and right bumper openings instead. There seem to be a lot out there, most of which seem to be NOT specifically made for the TC but rather are "general" replacement fog lamps with a generic mounting kit, of which I'm skeptical.

Has anyone done this with success and is there a brand you would suggest or stay away from? Any info or suggestions would be appreciated.

go to ebay and you'll find fog lights made specifically for the tC to be put there

though VRD is another brand name for it, i believe APT is what you are looking for.
the kit is made specifically for the car and also utilizes the stock wiring so the entire thing is plug and play.

The VRDs seem to sit recessed into the bumper openings, but they're pricey.

The ebay ones sit flush (that's what I've seen in the pics) but they are cheaper, usually $120 shipped.

I like the VRDs personally, but they both are plug and play.

Great man, thanx so much. I did find the VDR style APT ones you're talking about on Ebay. I have two other questions:

It says that a modification is needed for the lip kit. I have the OEM lip kit, what modification is required?

Also, after I posted this question here, I realized someone had posted some similar info under the "accessories" section of the forum about another brand called Vertex that looks very similar. Any comments or thoughts on this brand compared to the APT ones? Obviously, the price is MUCH higher for the Vertex ones I see. Is there a reason, such as quality?

I found this APT one on Ebay:

eBay Motors: 05-07 SCION TC FOG LIGHT & FOG LAMP (item 280258837237 end time Aug-28-08 13:32:20 PDT)

However, it says nothing about VDR. VDR is a brand, correct? Where did you get yours?

I think vertex is vrd.

VRD = VERTEX RACING DEVELOPMENT

The trimming you have to do is where the lip slides into the corner openings. Not much needs to be trimmed, and its only on the RS 3.0 (I think) with the smoothed lip kit, not the spoon look a like

Yeah, I didn't like that either. Takes away from the "cool" factor a lot and makes it look like a more "normal" front end rather that a sweet upgrade. I'm leaning towards the Vertex ones right now...
