If you want them to be really really blue then go with 10,000K to 12,000K any higher and your gonna get a purple color
thanks man
what about extreme HIDS
make a difference or what?
If you want a quality kit go to mobilehid.com, it comes with everything you need, there kits don't go up to 10,000K or 12,000K the highest they have is 8,000K but that is gonna give you a nice blue and you'll still be able to see somewhat, the higher you go in the kelvin scale the less you will be able to see on the road and if its gonna be your daily driver I would suggest going with the 8,000K
thanks for the heads up
good lookin man
If you want a nice blue color, 8000K is the way to go. I had a set of those on my Expedition and man did they look good. The only bad thing was is that I could hardly see with them at night, especially when it was raining. So, what I did when I got my tC is, I got a set of 6000K Lows and 3000K fogs...You wouldn't believe how well I can see regardless of whether it is raining or not.
You just have to decide whether or not you are going for style of function. To help you out, I have attached a some pictures of my expedition with the 8000K kit as well as my tC with the 6000K low beams and the 3000K fogs.

thanks bro
that helped a lot
but i think i want like
dark dark blue you know?
and i was just wondering
i havent seen anyone with
blue hids in their fogs
why?
I have seen it done in a couple tc's but the glare on it is worse than an SOB in my opinion but to each his own, I know your set on the dark blue but its gonna be really hard to see at night, I saw a car with purple HID's drive by my work one night and he might as well have had black light bulbs in his headlights, if your really really set on blue then go with 8000K but in my opinion 6000K is the way to go
Yeah, with anything above 6000K it is hard to see. 8000K is still has a great light output but anything else than that could be potentially dangerous because of lack of light output. Here is a chart and a few pictures to further explain what I mean. Hope this helps!
Omega Color (K) Output in lumens (lm)
3500K Gold Yellow 3,600 (lm)
6000K Pure White - Blue 4,200 (lm)
8000K Purple White 2,600 (lm)
10000K Pure Blue 2,400 (lm)

thanks man
that helped a lot
8000k looks exactly
how i want mine!
and i can just go with some regular fogs
and still be clear to see right?
Yea you'll be good to go, I have the foglights that come with the car from the factory and everything works out just fine.
