    Should i get two kicker L7 subs(i really want 3 but my friend said it would be to much). or do you think that would be to much.????????

    3 subs for the tC would be way to much, 2 is the max that I would go, I only have one and I'm happy with that, its really personal preference, keep in mind our trunk isn't really a trunk the whole car is open so sound is going to travel differently than it would than a car with an actual trunk.

    Ive had those speakers and i killed them... but if thats what you want then go ahead.. i have 1 15 that hits harder then my friends two L5s in his tc.. its up to you tho

    A lot of choosing subs has to do with interior vehicle volume, location (trunk/hatch), the enclosure design, the type of music/design purpose, cost, and availability of space. You can use good old algebra mixed with some simple geometry to figure out the resonance of the vehicle interior at half and quarter wavelengths. It is important to calculate out the longest sine wavelength that will fit within the vehicle interior. Forget the particulars but here is a website with tons of info. Basic Car Audio Electronics
