    Default Electrical Help...

I have been back and forth between mechanics and Toyota trying to get my alarm to work correctly. There is a delay between when I turn off my car and pull out the keys & when i'm allowed to arm my alarm. This can be irritating when i'm in a rush to get somewhere. The alarm guy that was supposed to be reliable according to the Toyota dealership says that "everyone always blames the alarm when they can't figure it out". This is annoying, I hope that somewhere out there I can get an answer. Is it my Alarm? Or is it an electrical malfunction. I've taken it to two different dealerships and they say that its not the electrical, and the alarm guy says it can't be the alarm. If anyone out there can offer advise, I'm all ears.

I don't have enough bandwidth to watch your vids. Is this the OEM Scion Security option? There are 2 versions out there; one with a glass breakage sensor and one with a shock sensor. What I know about the glass breakage version is that it has a V5 ECU that runs the show. It is possible that the delay is coming from it. The only adjustment, however, is on the glass breakage ECU. Everything is plug and play except for two wires, I think. The shock version appears to be similar.

Check the install manual that is yours at the end for the trouble shooting.
