Does anybody know of any remote starts that will work for my 07 tC? I've heard rumors that some will not work with it but I am not 100% sure, also I have an automatic transmission if that means anything as well.

1st, you can only get a remote start on an auto tranny. So far so good. 2nd, I've never heard of a universal remote start not working on certain cars. I'd maybe ask a dealer, then just google "scion tc remote start". If no where on there does it say "will not work on..." or "only works for..." then you should be golden.

If you looking to buy a remote start/keyless entry, I would go with AutoPage or CrimeStopper. My buddy and good friend Jason Rozelle of (Team Imagination In Motion) which is a business he owns and has done hundreds of installs of remote starts will tell you and so will I that you can have this done. In most cases you'll require a by-pass module for the ignition. I know this is true cause I have already inquired with my friend for a remote start/keyless entry for my 2006 Scion tC. If you have any questions what so ever, you can email him: iimcustom@yahoo.com, or I can give you his personal business number and talk to him directly. He sells these units and installs them, so if you are interested, just contact me or Jason.

The problem with by passing a manual for an auto start is if the driver leaves the car in gear, then uses the auto start, the car can jump forward and really screw things up ex: hit your house, hit car parked in front of yours, or kill a baby playing outside. No legitimately run shop is going to instal this device using a by pass system as they can be liable. Also, you as the owner run a very high risk as well.

viper will work for u
agreed viper is very nice..there is no such thing as a car specific start.. the only difference is that the installer need to know the car so he knows how to set the start and the delay, and whether you need to hide a key or buy a module to replicate a security key.
I have the Toyota remote start option on my 2007 Camry SE. I find it utterly useless. The car only runs 10 minutes and stops. If I unlock the doors or open a door in any fashion, it kills the car. The range of the keyfob is utterly repressive. Definatley go with a quality aftermarket piece.
