    Default 6 disc problems

I have an '05 and the previous owner didnt keep the manual so im kinda stuck. The first couple of days the radio worked fine. I was able to put in 6 disc and it was ok. the other day though, I dont know what happened, I tried to eject a cd and an error message began to flash. it says ERROR 4. I had to repeatedly turn the car off and on just to finally get the cds out. Now I have no cds in it but it is saying that there is one in there and then the ERROR 4 message pops up again. I try to eject this ghost cd and nothing happens. when i turn the car off for a while and then turn it back on, it shows no cds in it. I can't put any cds in or take out the ghost one. I need help. has anybody else had this problem or know what ERROR 4 means? Oh yea it is the pioneer radio that i have. thanks for any help.

My suggestion would be to call either the dealership or a stereo shop that specializes in stereos/headunits. In some cases some headunits require a special code/pass code. Not certain if scion decks need this, but a fellow co-worker of mine had to have this done with his BMW's stock headunit. Dealerships usually will give you a free owners manual at no cost, doesn't do you much good w/o it. You maybe able to find more info by searching Google, has always been a lifesaver for me when I'm in a jam. I would also try what was said prior to my post, and get a cleaning kit from a local CD store. Dust, dirt and garbage inside the deck doesn't help matters any, which may be the result of an error message. I would try any of the solutions mentioned and see what happens.
