Thumbs up (Update) New Interior Mod's Installed 8/13/2011

For those of you that heard me talking about adding tv screens to my tC in the rear hatch, here is the final product.

If anyone has plans on doing an install like this, I will for warn you, you will need to run your wires through the black grommet that is between your roof and hatch and lubing the wires w/ tire shine foam allow the wires to slide through a lot easier. Run your wires underneath the headliner, then feed them towards the doors where the wires will hide in behind the rubber door molding gasket. Next feed your wires down towards the plastic kick panel to the left of your dead pedal, Finally feed the wires in behind the carpeting on the floor so they go behind your center console to the video amp. You will also need 2 RCA adapter kits which contains 2 male and 1 female connectors as well as additional wires.

Dang! Looks tweet! You might need to upgrade your hatch struts.

ou know what would look dope and I believe no one has done so yet; a Trac-Vision omnidirectional Sat dish like on the Escalades. You could be watching sat TV on your ride.

Thank you Scott, all my friends got to see the new install the same day as our last car show. The screens get tons of attention and other people don't see them at first, then when they notice them their jaws drop! A dish would be cool, but I don't spend enough time in my tC, but I have been considering getting an interior antenna to pick up local tv stations, I had a similar set up in my last vehicle (Saturn L200), got great tv reception. I could sit at a friends work and watch Scrubs crystal clear.

Speaking of the lift struts, yes I do need new ones, pending on the day they usually stay up on their own and other days I have to wedge a detail spray bottle to keep the hatch upright.

Find your nearest Pick and Pull. Snag some some trunk struts off a PT cruiser. They should have similar extension lengths and weights that are more beneficial to you.
