    * tC alternator is rated at 90A
    * This is the voltage that you would see during testing. Most of the time you are going to be seeing 13.4-13.8VDC at idle will a charged battery
    Keep the engine speed at 2,000 rpm and check the reading on the ammeter and voltmeter.
    Standard amperage:
    10 A or less
    Standard voltage:
    13.2 to 14.8 V
    * 500Watts / 14.4VDC = 34.72A

    500Watts / 12.6VDC = 39.68A
    500Watts / 12.0VDC = 41.67A
    * With the high beams on and the heater blower on "HI", alternator load at 2,000RPM should be 30A or better. That leaves 60A overhead so your alternator can handle no sweat.

    If you are setup up like Cadence, you will have only about 50 watts left over for the audio system. He must have a couple of thousand lights hidden on that car. I hear that at car shows, he is required by the local fire department regulations to pass out those disposable sunglasses like they do to observe solar eclipses. Reminds me, Cadence, I am gonna shoot you an email about some of those lights you have and where to get them.

    Will do this afternoon. Hey, I like lights too. I used to rock a 12VDC traut line finder blacklight. I had it mounted on the back of my sub box in my '83 Merc Capri. It was facing forward so that when people would pass me up, they would see an eerie glow from their rear view mirror. :>
