* tC alternator is rated at 90A
* This is the voltage that you would see during testing. Most of the time you are going to be seeing 13.4-13.8VDC at idle will a charged battery
Keep the engine speed at 2,000 rpm and check the reading on the ammeter and voltmeter.
Standard amperage:
10 A or less
Standard voltage:
13.2 to 14.8 V
* 500Watts / 14.4VDC = 34.72A
500Watts / 12.6VDC = 39.68A
500Watts / 12.0VDC = 41.67A
* With the high beams on and the heater blower on "HI", alternator load at 2,000RPM should be 30A or better. That leaves 60A overhead so your alternator can handle no sweat.
