Hey guys,
As part of the upgraded software that was installed yesterday, you may have noticed a new feature on almost every page... the "Like" button. We all know where this feature originated, but its implementation on this site is very different. It is a way to help users find good information based on what other users have 'liked'.
Here's how it works:
At the bottom of every post box you will see two links... 'Like' and 'Share'.
If I enjoyed the post or found the information useful, I would click on the 'Like' button. The page would acknowledge that I clicked it without having to reload the page.
Next time the page loads, you will see a box at the top of the thread that says 'Likes' with a number next to it.
If you click on that box, it will bring down a menu with all of the different posts that are liked. You can sort them by current thread or on the entire site. If you put your cursor over one of the 'likes' it will bring up a preview of the post which you can then click on to see it in its entirety.
Because its a new feature, I'm not sure how well it will work on a forum like Club-tC.com but I wanted to try it and see how everyone 'Likes' it... Ok, I know... totally unnecessary!
Let me know what you think.
