Off the line traction is most important. The best thing you can do to affect that is definately a good set of tires. My original Potenzas grab absolutely no traction. I am hitting the REV Limit way too early. If I let off the gas, I bog down in 2nd.
This is what happens when you really loose traction. The first launch was at 4K. The "Open" differential in a FWD sends more and more of the torque to one tire. In our case, the right. There are many factors, but simply put this way. The more power routed thru the tranny is going to bias more power being transfered to the right wheel; the less power, the more equally divided the power will be. This is proven by a 3K launch having both wheel spinning more equally. At some point, however in the higher RPM launch, the power will shift back towards the left wheel enough to sufficiently spin both tires.

I am not sure about the technical aspects of our differential. I want know till I crack my case for my LSD swap. I do believe that this indicative of most open-wheeled FWD manual transmissions. Rear-end open axles tend to operate differently by apply the torque generally to one tire only, not having a shift in power. Of course, a change in tires/inflation will provide slightly skewed results.
