well the race is done and i said ide post the time slip on here with a video clip as well. my tC has I,H,E his civic has 1.6L vtec with I,H,E and he gutted out his whole car only had his driver seat. we raced for $500

i could have probably run 15 flat because i snubbed 2nd gear as you can see and hear lol...i also didnt have that great of a launch but trust me its harder than it looks... next season ill get out there more when i have the s/c!. by the way it was my first time ever racing on a track so no makin fun!

Great Job. Not bad at all. What power level did you end up launching at? It sounded like you launched from about 3.5K. Did you try different power settings on the other runs?

yeah my first launch was at 4k which surprisingly the tires stuck hard and it ended up being the worst launch.. felt like the engine was gonna fly outa the hood lol.. then i tried 3k which was better and surprisingly my best launch was at 2.5k which was the one in the video, tire(s)? spun just a bit and then caught right away. first run was 17 because i didnt have any of my first gear from the bad launch, 2nd run was 15.8 with a little bit better launch, then my last run was 15.5 but shoulda been lower if it wasnt for me snubbin 2nd gear!!!!

Good news. It is all about traction. Had you had very little, launching at 4K would have been better time. That track must have been setup good for those ol' craptenzas to hook like that Either way great job trounching those tC naysayers out there.

damn my friend has a 95 with a b16a(the 1.6 with vtec) the enging came stock with 4-2-1 headersand he has a sri and an axelback. i just have dc headers. we raced and he had me by half a car the whole time. we shut down at about 100mph. so now im rushing to install my pulleys. damn i need boost

Are you running a clean interior, aka no heavy ICE? Your friend has the advantage of lighterweight. Anything extra in your ride is just slowing you down, especially on your launch.

The DC Sports headers are not what you want to run on a mild N/A setup.
