Yeah, I can't stand that.
No offense to anyone who's gone through this, but it is very difficult to make a good case for, "my son's first car should be an STi." Wealth is not a good enough excuse.

when i have my child (no time soon) im buying him/her an 08 tC if they're still around! it'll be a classic car when by the time (s)he turns 17! (s)he can work to buy his/her own +30k car and its insurance!

Any 2004-2007 STi, with just turbo back exhaust and a mild ECU tune, or basic reflash can hit
265-280whp easily. Maybe more. He's also running 3 differential AWD system with short gear ratio 6spd tranny. If he looses to you on a 1/4, he fails at life forever. Miserably.
