    Default Cross Your Fingers!

That I don't get stranded because my clutch is gone. Now, obviously, I'm not a mechanic. But I really think that my clutch is going. I have a very small engagement point which is right at the end of the clutch. If I start the car out and stay in first gear just loping, I can hear a rattle which I'm pretty sure is the throwout bearing. This really sucks right now. I'm not prepared for it in any way. I just hope I don't get stranded on the side of the road.

What is up with these rash of bad clutches? I have 47K miles on my OEM and most of that has been with the S/C. I have also beat the crap out of it with no problems or slip. Still have that Spec Stage III waiting for you.

yea, good luck dude. You could go green and ride your bike... save gas money and save up for a new clutch. whats actually pretty weird is you can shift gears when the rpms are at a certain level. for me its between 2300 and 2400 i can go from 4th to fifth. and again at 33-3400 rpms without touching the clutch. if you do it right it won't grind, but it does sometimes. its kinda fun to just mess around with sometimes. anyway good luck with that!

Yeah, I work 45 miles away from where I live. So, biking is out of the question. Plus I don't own one. You can change gears without the clutch, but it is not recommended because it will put extra strain on the synchro's.

Right now I'm in the talks with Navy and plan on buying a clutch and flywheel off of him.

Sounds like your synchro engagement is worn.

Have you tried bleeding your clutch slave cylinder? Make your your brake fluid reservoir is filled to the mark before and after doing this.

Well, that spammer trolled again. He bit the dust. I suppose I am going to have to teach them a lesson like I did with the UK spammer. It seems that they really don't like it when you hook them up with a 1,000+ different daily email newsletters. It kind of shuts them down.

Bad Spammer! Bad, bad! Why won't you die!!!!!
