I think they went a little too overboard on their design. It can be alot closer to the hood and get the same effect. Just look at Formula 1 and some GT race cars. They have front wings that are part of the fuselage (body). I know aerodynamics and laminar flow. Having the wing that high serves no real purpose over a lower profile except for show. They must have gotten the idea from Sprinter dirt track cars. These cars have such radical wings as these because of the extremely short wheelbase, no ground effects, and odd shape fairings.

Has anyone else been having this problem?

I get a message that someone has replied a thread and it's a weird advertisement. I go to the link, and there's nothing here on the forum, I assume because someone delted it.

What is this all about? And who the heck keeps posting these?

Here is the last one I had that took me to this discussion topic (feel free to delete my message as well because I don't want to keep this advertisement posted again, but I would like somone to clue me in here...):

That would be one of our friendly Chinese spammers. Apparently, life is really bring in China. The system automatically removes posts if someone reports them as spam. I can do this manually as well.

No worries. You did the right thing. Reporting posts as spam really helps to keep things clean around here when I am gone.

guess its kind of old news now, but i too had the idea of the AWD swap for my tC... i know chris rado finaly got his done and the thing is an f-ing beast... hp-1500-ish torque-1100-ish... yea, it screams...

anyhow, i know the rare celica alltrac was an AWD and i am trying to find one of them to rip the tranny, rear dif, and center diff out of it... and yes, the weight will increase, but the launches wound be greater as well...

if your still planning on this man, i say go for it... and keep us posted...

Ken Gushi's conversion did not go so well for them the first year out. Tanner Foust's converted tC with the NASCAR Truck Series 4.xL V8 appear to fair much better out of the gates. Chris Rado's AWD conversion had alot of hiccups and delays. They are still fine tuning it. My plans for a twin turbo, mid mount V6 RWD tC has yet to be attempted.
