    It looks like an OEM and not a TRD unit. Notice in my side-by-side picture that that OEM unit on the right has the rubber mounting isolators. The TRD unit replaces these with metal isolators. However, these can interchange between the two.

    Other than that, the two are pretty much the same. Taken from TRDSparks.com's website:

    Description:

    The TRD tC quick shifter shortens the throw 30% while not lowering the shifter height. The new kit comes complete with the housing, lever assembly, hardware, and the popular Tall TRD Leather Shift Knob.

    thanks. i was just wondering. i posted on CStC too and got a reply right away. i just thought id post on multiple forums so that i could get an answer right away.

    i sent it to Dr. Isotope to trade for a shift knob
