The stock axles (we don't have a driveshaft ) hold up very well. I would not worry about them till your making 400WHP+ on a road coarse or 500WHP+ on 1/4 mile strip.

The Scion tC's aren't Posi-traction. One option you have if you have a 5-speed/6-speed manual transmission is buy the TRD LSD (Limited Slip-Differential). Another option would be to upgrade your OEM motor/tranny mounts w/ a urethane mount/bushing from Energy Suspension, I did mine a few months ago and I love em! The only down side is slight vibration in the steering wheel, on the up-side, you'll have better traction/grip and less wheel hop. Another option is to buy a torque damper from Weapon-R or Ingalls.

I am not sure if there is an LSD diff for the new 6-speed. It is an entirely new trans and not sure what other cars it might be used in. Our E350 5-speed trans has the Quaife built/TRD badged helical LSD. At one point, one of the Scion racing teams was supposedly working with OS Giken to build a Super-Lok clutch type LSD but they must have been looking at using a different trans as there is no mention of any product for Scion on the OS Giken website.

    OS Giken Limited Slip Differential-2AZFE

I think it is for E350. But the cost...

Don't sweat it and save your dough. You will need to be making some serious torque and punish it on a race track to worry about the failure of an OEM axle. In that situation, I would be worried more about the OEM wheel studs.
