    Default intake and exhaust

any suggestions on intake and exhaust combination...
i just bought an 07 and this is my 1st time upgrading my car...
i'm a newbie to this kind of upgrades.
what's the difference between axle back and cat back exhaust?

i'm looking into an injen intake and greddy exhaust but just have a budget of around 700-800 for these 2.
    thanks

go get yourself an injen CAI, very reputable, easy to install, SELF TUNING, and about $260 on killertc.com. as for an exhaust...well you have tons of options, personally i have an injen SES catback exhaust working with my injen intake, beautiful combination. as for axle back and cat back, a cat back exhaust replaces the exhaust from the catalytic converter all the way to the back of the car. An axle back exhaust replaces the exhaust from the axle to the back of the car. so if you just want a sound change and some better airflow with mild horsepower gains, go for the axle back. remember, it's not easy but you can go back and get the rest of the piping later on if you decide to eventually replace the stock header and remove one of the catalytic converters. you have two, just so you know greddy makes a great exhaust, look into the EVO2, also Agency Power has a new one for the tC, go to youtube and search for the brand of the exhaust along with your tC to hear an idea of what each will sound like.

well i'll keep posting replies to every question asked, no matter how many times, for you senior members i'm sure its old, but we're not exactly working with a state of the art forum here, and lets face it, there's not exactly a freakin' flood of topics and questions throughout this forum. so we have to make due with what we got.

sorry navy, i didn't mean to type "self-tuning" i meant to type "tuned", meaning that injens intake is the only one put on a dyno, run on YOUR specific car, and tuned to YOUR specific drivetrain. thanks for calling me out on that though, kinda hard to believe a CAI can form and change its air flow to form to your car and cut down the collaborative time with the ECU.

    True that claytongozoom.

If you check ZPI's forum you will notice I am a Senior poster there. Haven't been on lately because the topics got stale and I have been devoting my time to ya'll here on CLub-tC.

Say, who's paying for this forum anyway?
