    Exclamation CAI: Injen Vs AEM

i've been looking for a cold air intake for my '06 and i've narrowed it down to two, the AEM and the Injen.

i've found the AEM for $266 and an advertised 15 HP/12 lb ft Torque gain, then the Injen for $255 and an advertised 12hp/9 ft-lbs of torque gain.

how does the AEM stand to the Injen? are the gains correct, and are the prices fair? im looking to order in the next week.

I would say it is just a personal preference. You really can't believe the "claims". 5-9BHP is the average gain. Either one will suit you well.

One thing that you have to remember is that the OEM MAF is calibrated to read within a certain amount of airflow. Go outside of that range and the ECM is not correctly controlling things. An e-manage solution would b needed to bring the MAF back into range by providing it altered signals. So if you are going to design your own CAI, don't forget this.

I've heard bad things about AEM, go w/ Injen, most popular and best product for the intake category. I'm gettin one for $225 from my cousin.

I would go with Injen as well. Injen > K&N > Fujita > AEM

Ya'll do know that the sounds recorded on these vid clips is biased towards not only the quality and weight (A or C) of the microphone on the camera, but also the sampling rate that the clip was encoded in. Short and simple, these products may or may not even sound remotely close in real life as they do on the clips. Just food for thought.

wow .. neva thought ov that .. i didn't get so technical with it .. i showed tho huh ? lmao lol .. but n e wayz i'm still happy with my AEM .. no regrets i honestly believe Injen is over-rated .. every site that i've seen that shows both AEM and Injen shows a greater power gain for AEM than all others
