n/a with auto working with 300 horses would be fun, whats weird about that? but whats the hesitation with boost? reliability, turbo lag? i always thought the turbo atomized the air making your car more efficient? not to mention the sound of the turbine is pretty dam sweet.

Well, turbos are most efficient in autos. There is no loss in RPM between shifts, therefore you always have boost.

What are you asking here? What is a good reason not to get a turbo?

Yea, what would be a good reason to be all motor and not turbo?

Well, there are very few reasons not to go with forced induction. But there are a few. It all comes down to what you want the car to do. If you want a mean little street machine, you could build the motor up with I/H/E, better cams, and a good engine management system. But, if you plan on doing any kind of racing (I do not condone street racing, even though I have done it), forced induction is the way to go. If you set everything up accordingly. Obviously if you have a huge turbo, you will have a TON of lag and you will lose to the N/A. All parts must work in unison.

Reliability: A N/A car theoretically should last longer than a turbo'd car. The engine comes from the factory N/A and that is what all of the internals and engine management is set up for. Once you bump up to bigger injectors you start pouring more fuel into the motor and thus putting alittle more strain on the internals which will slowly wear down the engine over time more than what it is suppose to. Although the same can be said for a fully built N/A motor, it's not quite as much.

Drivablilty: Let's face it, the tC is a torque monster in N/A form. Adding a turbo will only add more. Plus when you turbo the tC, you really do want to have the limited slip differential (if your car is manual) to help control it. Simply put, your lower gears mean less in a turbo.

Now, don't let these things scare you away from going with a turbo. I plan on going with a turbo kit myself one day. However, I will be going with a fully built motor first. i.e. forged internals, and everything tuned perfectly.

Sorry for the long delay in response, I've been working and typing this at the same time lol.
