About LinkBacksDoes anyone know if there is a final gear drive for the tC
I've seen so many for the RSX Civic Evo's and other cars
but none for Scions
For those who don't kno wat it is ...
The ratio of this final drive allows for quicker acceleration for all gears
The only thing is you have to expect a slightly lower top speeds
BUT this is mainly designed for autocross, road races, and small track events.

The final drive of a car refers to the gearing of your differential. Lowering the ratio will make it accelerate faster, but each gear will end at a lower speed. The engine needs less torque to perform the work needed to move the vehicle, because the wheels are going to spin fewer times per RPM than before.
I have not see any though.

Increase the final drive ratio and that would work, but you would accelerate to that speed much slower.

The band of progress would be slower I imagine.

If you're accelerating slower, your turbine wont be boosting to maximum efficiency.
Shorter gear ratios = win for turbo.

To answer an earlier question; final drive gear changes or more power will not helpto get you much past the 127MPH ECM induced coma. It is all about the speed input and the encrypted software. My Greddy Ultimate can't even surpass it.How Fast Was I Going?
